e8c11be1-ab1c-44cb-9cbf-aeaa5cad1f8e
I have a Dell PowerVault PV110 LTO5 Tape drive with SAS interface. I am trying to use this device with Retrospect v7.7.562 the Single Server Disk-to-Disk version. My question is have I purchased the wrong version to work with this drive? Under Devices I can see 'IBM Ultrium 5 DC' wich is the Dell unit, however when I go to perform a Backup I only get the options for Optical Drive, Removable Disk, there is no option for the Tape unit. Is this becuse the software is the wrong version or becuase this model of tape drive is not supported yet.? Thanks in advance
Lennart_T
Retrospect Disk-to-Disk 7.7 for Windows Protects a single Windows server, and backs up only to disk or optical media. Client licenses may be purchased to protect additional networked servers, desktops and notebooks. http://www.retrospect.com/products/win/versions You bought the wrong version. Cygnis
If you bought it recently, you can probably get a refund before purchasing a different version (e.g. Single Server). EMC and Roxio offered a refund period (60 days, from memory), and I would assume that Retrospect Inc now do the same or similar.
