twickland Posted October 11, 2011 Report Share Posted October 11, 2011 (edited) Has anyone been using Staged backups in Retro 8.2; specifically, backing up to a disk media set and then copying to a tape media set? I'd appreciate comments about how well this has worked and whether you encountered any problems. As part of this process, I was wondering how Retro 8.2 handles grooming of multi-member disk media sets. If space is reclaimed on the first member, is data shifted from the second member to the first, or would I have to create a new member in this available space to be able to utilize it? Or does Retrospect ignore earlier members and only perform grooming on the last member of a disk set? Thanks for any and all thoughts and opinions.
