50bc0f35-82b6-4d39-b772-5a36b28ef2ae
Hi, Exchange 2010 on a 2008R2 server, Retrospect 7.7 on another 2008R2 server : I've got some mailboxes, not all that won't backup : T-749: TMailboxFind::Init: GetContentsTable failed on folder 'Administrateur\System'., winerr -2147467259, error -3420 while some others backup fine. After a long, long, digging into the problem, I noticed that the only diffference between "good" mailboxes and "bad'" ones is the localisation of folders : A good mailbox : [PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-MailboxFolderStatistics gooduser RunspaceId : 08b8ba1e-7c67-4e73-8696-e90a6c5ad785 Date : 02/01/2011 23:19:53 Name : Top of Information Store FolderPath : /Top of Information Store FolderId : LgAAAACDLaALz+ZHTbWNPMhreuVCAQBoVXLrDVQbRLwgtyKaMd9aAAAAJ1XnAAAB FolderType : Root ItemsInFolder : 0 DeletedItemsInFolder : 0 FolderSize : 0 B (0 bytes) ItemsInFolderAndSubfolders : 196 [...snip...] A bad mailbox : [PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-MailboxFolderStatistics administrateur RunspaceId : 08b8ba1e-7c67-4e73-8696-e90a6c5ad785 Date : 14/12/2010 10:25:11 Name : Partie supérieure de la banque d'informations FolderPath : /Partie supérieure de la banque d'informations FolderId : LgAAAAAUfPCJpaPDQ5aIjH2VIPs4AQC24qGP/9FnRqZ5F8dfGqFtAAAAh95kAAAB FolderType : Root ItemsInFolder : 0 DeletedItemsInFolder : 0 FolderSize : 0 B (0 bytes) ItemsInFolderAndSubfolders : 13 DeletedItemsInFolderAndSubfolders : 0 FolderAndSubfolderSize : 15.38 KB (15,746 bytes) You can see that Folder Path/Names are translated in French on the problematic mailboxes. I checked randomly a dozen, and this is consistent : French names -> can't backup, US names -> backup ok I'm not sure this is really a Retrospect problem, perhaps, there is a way in Exchange Management Shell to rename the folders inside mailboxes, but I didn't find one. [Edit] : the CmdLet Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration does partially the job : using en-us locale, with -LocalizeDefaultFolderName=$true renames the folders, but *not* the top level ( /Top of Information Store vs. /Partie supérieure de la banque d'informations), so the error -3420 (winerror 0x80004005) is still here... Since the Exchange server is perfectly functionnal, from users point of view, maybe it is eventually a Retrospect problem...
