JeffV
I'm running Retrospect SBS 6.5. My Sony AIT-e90 tape drive has both Firewire and USB 2.0 ports. Once upon a time, the drive was only supported by RS 6.5 if I used Firewire. Looks like compatibility info for RS6.5 is gone from your support site now. Does the current (or last available) RS6.5 driver update also include support for this drive with USB 2.0? TIA Jeff
JeffV
Um...same question, new version. Actually, what I really have is Retrospect SBS Premium, version 7.0.301, update version 7.0.12.105.
nekr0phage
Hi Jeff, This drive is listed as supported in "usb mode." There are warnings that using this drive on a 98 or ME machine will likely result in blue-screens whether or not Retrospect is running, but other than that it appears that it should work. AmyJ
Here is a link to the search results for the e90. You'll need to go to Configure > Devices > Environment in Retrospect to make sure the internal drive is either a SDX-420C or SDX-420V. JeffV
Thanks, Amy & Foster. I'm embarrassed I didn't find that. Maybe mistyped my search string. I've been Windows-9x-free for 7 years so that won't be a problem here!
