GabrielKemmerer
I Have a HP DLT 1 recorder, Part C7484-60003 Serial # SG00108185 Rev B002. I want to know if with the retrospect software I could record files in the DLT1 from a G4 macintosh with a SCSI adapter board. Today, in my Macintosh without Retrospect, the DLT1 is not recognized by MAC OS 9 and any software of recording same as Toast for example. My question is that if: Buying your software I solve the problem of recording selective files, not the whole disc? Best regards Thanks PS: What package of soft you reccomend me, Express, Desktop or Workgroup?
AmyJ
Can you confirm your hardware configuration? An HP DLT1 is a tape drive, not a CD burner. Toast will not see this drive because Toast is CD burning software. For use with Retrospect, the DLT1 tape drives all require Desktop or higher. If your computer is not seeing your tape drive listed under the Apple System Profiler, Retrospect will not see it either. Your computer must detect the hardware before an application can access it.
