dancegruv
Hello all, I have been cracking my head with this. maybe someone can help. My network cosists of 2 subnets. 10.1.10.0/255.255.255.0 - for servers and 10.1.3.0/255.255.255.0 - for users When i enter the USER subnet it goes to SEARCHING. but nothing ever comes back. it never shows any clients. I have tried by clickin gon the TEST button then i enter my client IP and it finds it. But because it is a test it doe not allow me to add it. Has any one experienced this before? if so please help... Thanks
nembot
Hi, Which edition of retrospect are you using, I think that you need at least a single server edition. Thanks,
dancegruv
I am suing v7 multi server. I figured it out. Instead of using broadcat i went to the last option (direct), and used the machine's names. Without deleting the previous clients. That got it to work and it updated the privious settings. Thanks, D
awnews
That suggests that something about your subnet setup (a router in-between?) is blocking the broadcasts that Retro uses to poll for clients.
