cannot connect to client

I am in the process of evaluating Retrospect for a business associate and have run into an odd problem. At times the program can connect to one particular client (testing 2). Most times I either get a -519 or -541 error. I have disabled my firewall, pinged the workstation, logged off the user any various combinations. I cannot find a common thread. The client shows ready, the firewall is turned off, the ping shows connectivity but still I get an error. The other workstation is on the same router/switch combo. Any ideas?
