markderrick
I'm trying to back up onto 4.7GB DVD+RW discs (LaCie), but Retrospect keeps treating them as 2.6GB discs - is thre any preference that needs setting to tell it to write the full 4.7GB? This is on Retrepect 6 Server edition (Mac OSX 10.3). Thanks
natew
Hi Retrospect should write until the disc is full. Are there any error messages in the Retrospect log? Thanks Nate
markderrick
Nope, it just popped the disc out after doing 2.6GB and asked for another disc. I've used the same DVD+RW disc before, and I know it will hold the full 4.7GB.
natew
Hi Did you hear any beeps from the Mac? Try this: Open the special tab in Retrospect. Hold down the option key on the keyboard and click on preferences. turn on SCSI logging (This works for non-SCSI devices too) Run a backup. If the disk ejects at 2.6 GB stop the backup and post the last 50 or so lines of the log. Thanks Nate
