yor1234
How do you select one particular file to be ignored durning a scheduled backkup? The reason is that this particular file cannot be backedup because it is always in use and thus prevents the whole backup from being completed. In order to do a backup, a particular program has to be manually shut down which makes automated backups less helpful. I cannot move this file from the folder which it is in and which I need to back up. If I could just ignore this file then everything would be great. natew
Hi With Retrospect Express you cannot exclude files from backup. However an open file should not stop a backup anyway. How do you know the backup is not complete? Thanks Nate
yor1234
Hey Nate, I know the backup is not complete because I get an error message stating so and indicating that the reason is that a file is in use and that I must close the file to continue with backup. Thanks for your reply Gregg
natew
Hi These don't sound like errors from Retrospect. Can you post a screen shot of the error message please? Thanks Nate
