bisigimpact
I can post this to the Mac forums if needed, but I want to try here first since I'm running Retrospect 7.0.265 Single Server on a Windows Server 2003 computer. I have one OS X machine that is giving me trouble. I have downloaded installed the latest client for OSX. Everything seems to go OK, except it doesn't ask me to establish a password for the computer. When I try to add the OSX computer to the Clients list in Retrospect, I get the following message: "Activating Client (machine name)... Please enter an activation code:" I have unlimited licenses on the server. All the other computers ask for the password I used during setup. Any idea what's going on here? I tried to call the tech support line all night, but I get a message that "all circuits are busy." Thanks, -eric
tsluyter
Well, have you set the initial password on the OS X client yet? I reckon that's your problem. No clue how it works on OS X, but on Solaris you need to run "retroclient -setpass"
natew
Hi Uninstall the OSX client using the Client setup program, reboot the client and reinstall. That should do it. If not, manually delete the /Library/Preferences/Retroclient.state file and reboot the machine. Thanks Nate
