crucinator
I just bought a Maxtor OneTouch II, which includes Retrospect Express HD. I only plan to use the hard drive for manually duplicating files to it. I don't have any reason for Retrospect to be running in the background for automated backups. The way it is setup now (default), Retrospect is loaded on Windows startup and it's icon is placed in the system tray. I want to stop it from automatically loading on startup, but I can't find options in the software to do it. I have looked in the software help file and have googled in hope for an answer, but have found none. Can anyone help and tell me how to stop Retrospect from loading on startup? figuerres
if you don't want to use it for backups then just un-install it. or did I miss something?
Henk
The solution is: Right click on My computer, select Manage to open Computer Management. In the left window select Services within Services and Applications. Now look for the name Retrospect Express HD Launcher in the right window. Right click on it and select Properties. Now you can change the Startup type. Hope this is what you are looking for. Regards, Henk
