Retrospect server error 34 (Volume full)

We are running retrospect (ver. 6.0.204) to back up our Xserve. Its running on a G4 (10.3.8 OS). Everything was fine. We just started getting an error (34 volume full). The drive is overwritten every night and seems to have enough free space. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Are you saying the Source volume is 250 gigs (leaving out how much data it has) or are you saying that the Source contains 250 gigs of data?

 

If it's the latter, then that's the problem.

 

The Destination volume needs some additional disk space available, to manage the File Backup Set properly.

 

You'd either need to reduce the amount of data in the Source, or provide a larger Destination.
