MrMikeH
Just installed Retrospect 7 and when I am in the program and click on HELP/CONTENTS, I get an error message saying "Unable to open help. Please refer to the Retrospect User's guide". Not sure why I am getting this, since help.chm is in the Retrospect 7.0 directory and I can open it by double clicking on it. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike. michaeln
Hi, You might want to try updating to 7.0.301 if you haven't already. Otherwise, you may need to do an uninstall/reinstall.
knokworst
Hi I got this error also and had two scripts I created stored in different directories - because I installed Retrospect 7 then joined the Server to a Domain (created a new profile with Domain name suffix). Discovered file locations when adding them to a backup - moved to standard location - retrospect asked me to browse to the new scripts location - all fine
tortoise
See my posting under product suggestions at this link: http://forums.dantz.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=60186&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 It basically boils down to Microsoft security patch # KB896358 breaking Retrospect help functionality, remove the patch and it works again. Another alternative is a shortcut on the desktop until Dantz issues a update that fixes it. Not their fault but I have more faith in them than Microsoft.
