dditillo
I am starting to have issues with my boot drive and need some help. I used Retro 6.0 Professional to back up the entire contents of my boot drive to a raid array. I do daily incrementals and fully weekly backups. When it comes time to replace the bad boot drive do i just install windows onto that drive and then do a full restore over ? Pls advise. Thanks -dave
kaikow
If you created a Retrospect disaster recover CD, then you might be able to replace the hard drive, format the hard drive and then boot from the disaster recovery CD to restore the C drive. natew
Hi You can do as Howard mentioned or you can do a live restore like you suggested. Both are explained in the Users guide PDF file. If you do a live restore there are a couple of things to look out for: 1)Make sure you have Retrospect Driver update 3.9 installed before the restore 2)Make sure to update the OS to the service pack level you were running at the time of the backup. In other words, if you were running XP SP2 when you backed up make sure to install SP2 before you do the restore. Thanks Nate
