wehavenobananas
Hi, were are going to be upgrading our version of Retrospect from single server 6.5 to multi-server 7. We are currently backing up on to DVD-RAM and run nightly scripts to do these. I was wonderging if after we upgrade to version 7, whether we will need to make new backup scripts with new DVD-RAM media, or whether we can continue to use the same DVD-RAM media and the same scripts? natew
Hi All of your scripts and backup sets will be imported automatically into Retrospect 7. You can continue using them as is. Thanks Nate
wehavenobananas
Hi, We have just upgraded to Mutli server version 7. All the scripts seem fine, but one weird thing is happening though. We use DVD-RAM as our media for backing up, but when we quit and check the media to see whether of not the right media is in for a scheduled backup, it reports that the wrong media is inserted despite the correct disk being in the drive. Has any one else experienced this? Is this a bug? The scheduled backup happens overnight without any problems, but I find it awkward right now everytime I quit Retrospect because it always reports the wrong media being present. Thanks. natew
Hi Make sure to install the 7.0.301 version of Retrospect. This will resolve the issue. Thanks Nate
