ipitythefools
Okay so I just bought a Western Digital HD to use to backup some pictures and mp3's and the like so I could reformat my computer. I reformatted my computer and went to put everything back on and all I have are these ".rdb" files that I have no clue what to do with. Can someone please help me restore my data

dld
rdb files are your Retrospect Backup files. This is my Retrospect Backup. My version of Retrospect Express is 6.0.222. Basically what you have to do is to get Windows back on your computer, install Retrospect Express, access your backup on your external HD, repair your catalog and restore your system. I've scanned my manual for you: First page Second page

natew
Hi Did you open Repair->rebuild catalog->recreate from disk in Retrospect and rebuild your catalog file? You will not be able to access the contents of the RDB files unless you rebuild the catalog file first. Thanks Nate
