dhwagner
Is the Pioneer DVR-109 / A09 supported by Retrospect? I can't find it in the device database, but I thought a recent driver update supported it.
natew
Hi It is not currently supported. Thanks Nate
dhwagner
Thanks. Although it's not supported right now, it is recognized by Retrospect and it works for me in my MDD Dual -1GHz G4 running MacOS X 10.3.9, with Retrospect 6.0.204 and RDU 6.4.102. I have not yet tried 8X or 16X media, though.
dhwagner
I just noticed that the DVR-109 is now qualified for use with Retrospect. Hurray!
jschaffe
2 questions: 1) What's with the lack of support for CD-R? I have a few backup sets that are still CD-R based. 2) How bad is the performance hit with DVD-R compared with DVD+R? Jeff
natew
Hi Quote: 1) What's with the lack of support for CD-R? I have a few backup sets that are still CD-R based. CD media failed our testing and EMC Dantz was not able to resolve the problem with a software fix. Quote: 2) How bad is the performance hit with DVD-R compared with DVD+R? I'm not sure but I would guess + media is at least twice as fast as - media. My hunch is - media doesn't work with continuous writes on this drive.
