backup on wrong hard drive

Hi,

 

I'm using a maxtor onetouch II external hard drive with retrospect express hd. I was backing up, but instead of backing up on the external hard drive it created a backup on the C drive (the hard drive it was to backup).

 

I used the recommended settings (backing up the whole drive). When choosing the drives to backup, I did see the external drive and did not select it.

 

How do I tell retrospect to backup on the external drive instead fo the c drive?

Hi

 

Run the setup again and pay attention to the text on the screen. It will ask you very clearly "what do you want to backup?" and "Where do you want to save the backup?" or something along those lines.
