stevenbrand Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 I have backed up all my photographs to CD-RWs. The initial backup was fine (filled 6 discs, leaving plenty of free space on the last one). However, I am now trying to do a second backup of only a few small changes (98kb) and Retrospect is asking for another disc (disc 7). As there is enough free space on disc 6 why does Retrospect not just append the data with the new information? Thanks.
natew Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 Hi How do you know there is plenty of free space? Are there any errors in the log about disc number 6? Thanks Nate
bravotech Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 This brings up a recurring problem I had... unable to display the remaining space on disc. Is there a way to display that info?
stevenbrand Posted May 2, 2005 Author Report Posted May 2, 2005 HI Nate, I see what you mean. Is it possible to find out how much space is left on a disc? There is no error message. Thanks.
natew Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 Hi Retrospect will only tell you what is used and make a bad guess at how much space is left. Not much you can do about that. I would actually look at the disc itself to see if there are unwritten portions on it. Thanks Nate
