restring unwanted files

I have a lot of picture files of insects identified by numbers, such as 5000321. When I may later get the subject identified, I add the scientific name to this, eg 5000321 Harpalus pennyslvanicus. I have copied these files at different stages, and put them into folders by families, orders etc. So the same file may be present more than once under different names. If I backed up folders that had such multiple copies under different names, and then later cleansed the folders deleting such redundancies, if I do a restore from the backup that had both copies will it restore both versions, or having earlier dates, will it leave out the older, partially nemed version?

Hi

Restore uses "snapshots" to restore your files to a particular point in time. So if you restore the snapshot from last Tuesday, whatever was on the disk last Tuesday is what will be restored. Any items that you had deleted previously will not be restored.

Thanks

Nate
