cpu
Just installed a Retrospect 6.5 backup server and have set the Run Retrospect as .. security setting to a member of the Domain's Backup Operators group on the NT4 Domain Controller. Everytime Retrospect runs it fills the Security Event Log on the Domain Controller with Logon/Logoff events (528 & 538) which are generated every few seconds. Is there a way to configure Retrospect to prevent it from generating so many Logon/Logoff events? I would have expected it to login at the start of the backup and logout when it is done. I sure hope I have something misconfigured and Retrospect doesn't need to logon and logoff to the Domain Controller for every file it backs up. natew
Hi Retrospect must run as administrator. Local administrator will be fine if you don't have access to the domain admin account. You will get logon failures if you run it as backup operator. Thanks Nate
