servolino
Whenever backups are running, the Retrospect user interface becomes nearly unusable and retrospect.exe consumes 85-100% of the CPU. Is this normal? Even after backups complete and nothing is "executing", the CPU level stays around 50% for up to 15 minutes. This causes problems because we run backups 24x7 and it's frustrating to add clients, do restores, setup scripts, etc because we either have to halt executions and close Retrospect, or deal with the 60 second delays between mouse clicks. Retro 6.5 MultiServer Using software compression to disk backup sets on their own RAID volume Dual 880 MHz PIII with 1GB (less than 400MB typically committed) Windows 2000 Server SP4 Thanks for your thoughts. servolino
Disregard. I upgraded to 7.0 and the performance is MUCH better. Steve
