High CPU Usage

Recommended Posts

Whenever backups are running, the Retrospect user interface becomes nearly unusable and retrospect.exe consumes 85-100% of the CPU. Is this normal? Even after backups complete and nothing is "executing", the CPU level stays around 50% for up to 15 minutes.

This causes problems because we run backups 24x7 and it's frustrating to add clients, do restores, setup scripts, etc because we either have to halt executions and close Retrospect, or deal with the 60 second delays between mouse clicks.

Thanks for your thoughts.
