markzsystems
We have not gotten Multi Server v.6.5 to work properly. When writing to tape it runs at less than 3MB/min. When writing to disk it averages around 400MB/min. The previous version (6.0) operated around 300MB/min when writing to tape but we would like to use the additional features of v.6.5. We have tried backing up files on the machine on which Retrospect server resides and it still operates slow (i.e. our network is not the issue). We have also installed the latest drivers. OS: Windows 2000 Pro ID: 5:2 Vendor: SONY Product: SDX-700C Version: 0202 Driver: Sony AIT-3 DC (1.42) ID: 5:5 Vendor: SONY Product: LIB-81 Version: 0104 Driver: Sony Library (1.08) Does anyone have any suggestions? natew
Hi Make sure to disable the tape drive and the library in the Windows device manager. Otherwise you can run into conflicts. What make/model of SCSI card are you using? Are there any other SCSI devices attached on the SCSI chain? Thanks Nate
markzsystems
Thanks, for the info. We'll give it a try. Our SCSI controller is an AdvanSys Ultra2 Wide. There are no other SCSI devices attached on the chain.
