  1. I cannot successfully add another member to a media set. I select the media set, click members, and click the + button. It adds the LTO tape to the media set, however it doesn't update the space available. The tape is brand new, fresh out of the case. Percentage used is still in red after I add the member. When I go to do a back up it requests more media. When I select the tape under choose media, which has the correct header, it states that the media is already in use by another media set. I have tried 4 brand new tapes and this has happened to each one. OSX 10.7.4 2.4 Quad core, 6GB RAM Retrospect 9.0.2 Quantum ULTRIUM5, TC L52BN connected via ATTO SCSI
  2. Hello, I am relatively new to retrospect, and work for a company that employs it. Our IT predecessor did not leave much documentation on the product, but we are fast learners. One question I cannot seem to find an answer to is this: If I were to upgrade retrospect from 8.2 to 9, is there a way to keep the backup scripts that we have created in 8.2? Thank you in advance,
  3. After installing, Console pops up update message, "Retrospect is available—you have" Preferences also show "Server version:". About Retrospect shows the new version. I did stop the server before upgrading using downloaded file.
  4. I have a Retrospect 9 multi-server install, with a 4 drive library attached over SAS. Last night, backups stopped, and I get an error that the engine is stopped. I've rebooted, and cannot get the engine to restart. Running 10.6.8, 9.0 latest version with plugin for multiple drives. Getting com.retrospectengine Exited with exit code: 255 (com.retrospect.retroengine) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds #2Comand Line is /LIbrary/Application Support/RetrospectEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/RetroEngine Assertion Failure at "elem.cpp-1138" on threadID 0x105355000 Any ideas, I have a call into retrospect, but this is backup server that handles many a servers backup, and last nights backup was missed as a result. Need to backup first thing this am. Please relay any golden suggestions if you have any. Thanks, Dan
