  1. I'm not actually sure if it's "empty" or not. It actually shows all the past backups, but the media member itself shows 0 of 4 TB used. I think maybe that's bogus. I started a new backup and will see if it's backing up everything or just the changes. thanks.
  2. Retrospect 17.5.2 on Mac OS 10.14.6. I had Retro (same version) running on an older server and backing up to Backblaze. Now I want to run Retro from the newer server. I copied the catalog file (it's a disk group) to the new server. But when I try to "Locate" it, it creates the media set but says it's empty. Do I have to rebuild it? That will take ages.
  3. My mistake - the snapshot that is restored is complete, but in the list of snapshots, it only lists the number of files that were added at that time. I still can't figure out how to tell it from which media set I want it to look for backups - the media sets are not listed when you do "more backups". Retro 8.2 and 9 crash on my Leopard servers. They run fine on SL server and I will be upgrading to SL server as soon as possible.
  4. I am running Retro 8.1 on Mac OS X Server 10.5.8. Trying to restore "entire folder" as a snapshot to an earlier date. Finding that it does not restore the entire folder, but only the files that were backed up on that date. So I have to restore a snapshot for each date from that date to the present, and each has to be in it's own unique destination folder? How is that supposed to be useful?
  5. Mac OS X 10.5.8 server, on Mac Pro 4x 2.8, 12 GB RAM, ATTO H680 SAS card, HP Ultrium 1760 LTO-5 tape drive (SAS) Retro 8.1 works, 8.2 works on Snow Leopard Server, but crashes on Leopard server (on the above setup). Tried version 9, works fine on Snow Leopard Server. Can back up to tape on Leopard Server, but, as soon as I hit "Restore", it freezes and crashes the whole system. At least email functionality now works.
  6. They sorted it, not sure why I wasn't given a proper download link to begin with
  7. I just purchased the upgrade to Retrospect single server (20 client) from the web store. For some reason, the "upgrade wizard" would not accept my Retro 8 serial number, it kept saying that it was an ASM number, which it's not. So I used a different serial number for a non-ASM version, and was able to purchase. But the download link only gets me Retro 8.2. What's up?
