Retrospect Destroying CD's in set

I tried searching for this first.

 

Retrospect is destroying CD's in our set. Actually, nothing gets burned, but Retrospect claims that it is burning the CD, but it never progresses. So, it never moves on to the next CD.

 

I finagled with it a bit, and got it convinced that the current CD was gone (which took more than simply 'forget') and it moved on to the next CD. It burned one good CD and then on the following, went back to its old ways.

 

I'm sure I need to give more info, can you please tell me what I to say to help me help you help me?
