(I'm recycling some older tapes, and want to put the more important data on some new tapes.) This is in a tape library. When I test naming a tape and backing up to it, it doesn't seem to matter what the label is, just whether a tape is erased or not. Thanks in advance!! I'm going to try to outsmart it by figuring out a load order so that each backup script will find the appropriate empty tape as the next one in sequence, when it's called for.(wish me luck.)
