afterhours
Our customer's tape drive has failed. Rather than purchase a new tape drive and media, we'd like to move to firewire and simply store to 250 Gb drives. However, isn't there a maximum file size OS 9 supports? And if so (2 Gb?), how does Retrospect get around that? Can we store more than that on the drive, or can we use Retrospect to simply mirror the files on to the firewire drive in an archive that is automatically less than the maximum file size (Retrospect v5)? natew
Hi HFS+ (Mac OS Extended) supports files up to one Gigbyte. As long as you format the drive properly you won't have any trouble. Make sure you have Retrospect v5 or better. Thanks Nate
