Error -Can't access network volume

All,

 

When I start my backup scripts, It will run for a while trying to backup files from system ©

folder then gives the following error message "Can't save catalog file,Error-1116(Can't access network volume)".

 

I think its a catalog file problem

 

Shall i Repair existing catalogfile or create new catalog file?

 

Did any one had this problem ?

How to fix this problem?

Hi

 

Are you storing the backup set on a local drive or a network volume? If the drive is local how is it connected to the computer?

Hi

 

Make sure you have the newest OS and firmware updates applied for the NAS. This is doubly true if it is a Unix/BSD based NAS running SAMBA.

 

Make sure you have specified a user in the Retrospect -> Security preferences.
