jon714 Posted April 25, 2002 Report Share Posted April 25, 2002 Hardware: Quicksilver G4 933 running OS 9.2.2 Retrospect Version: 4.3 with updated driver 2.5 Backing up onto: Internal ATA ZIP 250 using ZIP 100 disks On my G3s running OS 8.5.1, I can backup 2.4 GB in about 90 minutes. On my brand new G4 running OS 9.2.2, I just backed just over a gig in 2 hours 10 minutes (transfer rate of around 8 MB/min.) Something is obviously wrong, but I can't figure out what it is. jon714 Posted April 26, 2002 Author Report Share Posted April 26, 2002 Fixed the problem. For anyone interested, ZIP 250s don't especially like writing to ZIP 100 media, so they slow down.
