bajcsi Posted June 14, 2004 Report Share Posted June 14, 2004 Howdy, Currently I run three backup sets on a three week cycle without any new media or recycle operations. I have several different scripts that run for each of these sets to accomodate various needs. I want to start recycling my tapes but was confused about one thing. For the recycle backup, it erases the entire tape, correct? So in essense I only need to run a recycle backup for the FIRST backup operation of each week rather than all of the various scripts? That being said, rather than messing with what I already have, I could just set up a dummy script that doesn't really backup anything but executes as a recycle?
