-1111 (locked range conflict) and others..

Recommended Posts

i was wondering if anyone could explain these errors (mainly -1111) and correct ways to address them. I ran diskclean up on user2 to hopefully remove the temporary files, but have not yet been able to run a new backup to see if anything was resolved.

after checking my operations log, i noticed quite a few sharing violations as well as the following errors [user names have been changed to "user"]:

---start----

File "C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\~Normal.dot": can't read, error -1101 (file/directory not found)

File "C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst": can't read, error -1111 (locked range conflict)

File "C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst": can't read, error -1111 (locked range conflict)

Now this was on another client [user name has been changed to "user2"]:

Hi

The files are likely in use so Retrospect can't access them. The best way around it is to make sure all apps are closed on the machine before running the backup.
