phenry
My DLT 7000 drive is not funtioning properly. I got another one from our hardware department and hooked it up. Now all of my tapes mount as erased. I know they are not blank. If I hook my old drive up using he same connections, I can sometimes get it to read tapes fine. Any ideas?? AmyJ
Tapes that were written with failing tape drive may not be readable with a functioning tape drive. De-aligned heads are a common cause for unreadable tapes from one drive to another.
