ryanp Posted November 25, 2003 Report Share Posted November 25, 2003 We have been backing up the PRIV.edb and PUB.edb database using the retrospect exchange agent v.1. We have not been backing up the system folder. I am trying to restore a single users emails from backup. I have installed a new machine as a BDC with same service pack and replicated. Installed exchange with same service pack. I replaced the database on the BDC with the backed up database using the retrospect exchange agent. I cannot start up the exchange server, and none of the exchange tools can repair the database. Is it possible to restore in this way? natew Posted November 27, 2003 Report Share Posted November 27, 2003 Hi What OSes and Exchange server versions are you using. Try doing the restore with the databases unmounted or deleted.
