rhwolters
I am running Retrospect 5.1.175 on a PowerMac G4, Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther), with Apple installed SuperDrive and Combo Drive. I can backup to the SuperDrive ok but Retrospect immediately stops responding (get the spinning pinwheel) when I try to backup to the Combo. Any ideas out there? Thanks in advance

rhwolters
The device name is "Philips CDD5301", which is Apple's Combo Drive. The media I am using is Maxell 650MB CD-RW discs.
AmyJ
Try using good media, such as TDK, Sony or Verbatim. From personal experience I would stay away from Maxell, Memorex, Imation or anything that is store branded (such as CompUSA or Staples).
