MNDantzer
Just switched from G4 to G5. Running version Retrospect Desktop 5.0.238 and Driver Update 3.6.108 Retrospect can't see the internal Pioneer DVR 106D SuperDrive. Yes, System Profiler can see the drive. So I presume Retrospect needs to be updated. I've seen the press release announcing the updater making it "fully" compatible with the G5. Don't have a clue if prior versions were partially compatible. All I need is a confirmation: Do I need to upgrade to 5.1 to use the SuperDrive in my G5? dsaukers@mn.rr.com
Mayoff
Dantz has not tested Retrospect 5.0 with the G5. If it works for you, keep using it. If you have problems, then we suggest you upgrade to 5.
MNDantzer
Purchased 5.1 upgrade tonight. Works fine. Achived 224 megs/min (write and verify) to internal SuperDrive. Love the speed of Retrospect on a G5. It gave me a giggle.
