I am unable to make a successful backup to my Sony Spressa CRX145E Fireware CD-RW. I am currently using Retrospect Desktop 5 under Mac OS X 10.1.3. It backs up but I then get many, many erros in the verification log, as below:

And so on. I would say that I am seeing an almost 100% failure rate. I also had a high failure rate with Retrospect Express 4.2 under Mac OS 9.x. I have been unable to borrow a different drive for comparison sake, and saw someone else on this forum stating a problem with a Sony Spressa CD-RW. This drive works perfectly under Toast Titanium, but I understand it is using packet-writing methods under Retrospect. Is anyone aware of problems with this drive, other tests I can make, or anything else. When I called Dantz in the past they didn't have any helpful advice and didn't know of any problems with the Sony Spressa. Of course, spending $100 for a software upgrade doesn't get me any techinical support, so i was hoping that someone here might be able to provide me with a clue.
