niels
What is the best solution to back up clients who are dual booting? I have client computers that switch between booting in OS 9 & X. I'd like to ensure that they are backed up properly no matter which OS that boot from. Is there a way to have Retrospect backup the same machine in either OS? Will it recognize it as one machine in Retrospect or will it be two versions, an OS 9 machine & an OS X machine?
IrenaS
It won't be a full backup if the computer is in OS 9, since we can't get any UNIX permissions, long file names, or OS X specific data. If you are just concerned with user data, you can install an OS 9 client and an OS X client, but they could conflict, so we don't recommend it.
