IndyCourt
Running v5.6.132. Just wiped out the machine and installed XP fresh. Retrospect and Seagate Travan Tape Drive drivers all installed correctly. Only installed applications are MS Office XP and Retrospect. Updated the Retrospect drivers as well. Under Configure -> Devices ... the Seagate Travan is listed but "busy". Attempted to work through the help files but got nowhere. Attempted disabling the Seagate driver in Device Manager which proceeded to remove the Seagate from the Device list in Retrospect. Backup set is configured correctly, saved on a drive not being backed up. Any suggestions? Much appreciated.
Guest psykoyiko
Try installing ASPI. In the Retrospect folder there is a file called aspiinst.exe that you can install. Run it, reboot, then Retrospect should be using ASPI to talk to the device. HTH.
