remarch Posted February 4, 2002 Report Share Posted February 4, 2002 We just bought a Seagate backup drive with Retrospect v5.6 software. We used to have an HP Travan 8GBe. Lets just say I'm a bit happier with the HP's compression performance. Can anyone give me any guidance as to how I can get optimal compression. We are trying to back up 6.5G worth of data. I used to be able to do it on one tape at full compresion on the HP. Now I get prompted for a second tape with the Seagate/Retrospect combo. Help!!
