6.5 Hangs on trying to recognize media

Does this happen only when there is media in the drive? What if you go to Configure > Devices > Environment with no media in the drive - do you see the same hang?

 

Try temporarily removing the Retrospect configuration files (config60, config60.bak, config65, config65.bak) from:

 

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Retrospect

 

Launch Retrospect, enter your license code and try the drive - do you see the same hang? If not, your configuration files may have corrupted during the upgrade.
