MRMcLellan
I installed the newest Retrospect Server on my OSX machine running 10.1.3 (384 Meg RAM). When I run my backup script the script identifies the first machine to backup, an OSX client. The backup begins and then the server crashes into the unix debugger listing the following error text: "panic (cpu 0): SCSI (Adaptec 78XX) Max S/G segments exceeded ..." Can someone please help interpret what this means and what to do to get it back working. This same setup worked fine with version 4.3 of retrospect. I am using a SCSI Sony SDX-300C drive version 400 with the following driver: AIT DC(1.35) on a PowerPC - G3 desktop. Thanks, Mark
IrenaS
Can you confirm what kind of SCSI card this drive is on? Have you checked our SCSI card compatibility list? It's at: http://www.dantz.com/index.php3?SCREEN=osx_scsi_adapter
MRMcLellan
My machine has the following SCSI card: ADPT 2940UW Model ADPT AIC-7880. On your list is a PowerDomain 2940UW -- my guess is that these are the same the problem is with the SCSI card. Thanks for the help.
