Bjornharris
Hi there, We have recently had a hard drive failure on the PC where Retrospect was installed. We have now re-installed on a new XP machine. We have the Retrospect Catalog file on the network so that was luckily saved. Does that mean we can keep the current automative backup system or do we need to start over? I have tried to run the backup from the XP machine but get the following message when "executing". "Sorry, no disk storage devices available". I am using CD/R media and the CD/RW/DVD combo driver used is "SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SM-332B. Is this compatible. Do I need to update something to get it to work? Retrospect 5.6.132 on a Dell XP pro Thanks in advance BR Bjorn
AmyJ
The Samsung SM-332B is not yet supported for use with Retrospect. For a list of currently qualified devices, please see: Hardware Search Engine Dantz goes through a rigorous qualification process with every drive we test. This means that not every drive will be qualified and we can never guarantee that a particular device will be supported. Some drives do not get qualified ever, and some take 6 months to a year to get support. We have no way of telling if this drive will be supported or not at this moment. We add device support often though, so do check back with our Hardware Compatibility list.
