(Snapshot) What happens if...

Hi.

I'm somewhat confused about snapshots. Could someone correct my statements whenever they are incorrect:

Snapshot is a list of file and folder names along with attributes and security information (optional).

Everytime backup runs snapshot of the whole drive is created. Snapshot in itself is never incremental. NTFS security info is optional. If NTFS security is choosen the snapshot will be created a lot slower (10x or so).

If snapshot is not run all files are "together", file structure (path) is not saved. The only way to get to the file is through find file facility.

However it is possible to combine a snapshot with backed data and files could be restored with file attributes, path, and security info contained within the snapshot.

Is it possible to pick which snapshot to combine the backed files with?

thank you,

Mikee
