Guest Posted January 30, 2002 Report Share Posted January 30, 2002 I'm running a mail server on a Beige G3 running OS 9.1 with Retrospect 4.3C. The mail server mirrors to an external hard drive. Each night Retrospect autolaunches, stops the mirroring function and backs up the entire mirrored drive. This *usually* works. The last two mornings I have come in to find that the computer has locked up during backup. The first lockup was about half way through the process, this morning the lockup was at the beginning. I'm backing up to a LaCie DDS SCSI tape drive... connected directly to the SCSI port on the G3. The Retrospect SCSI driver is 4.3. Any known issues that I should be aware of?
