CharlesM
Unfortunately, I bought Retrospect without checking the hardware compatibility database -- the software is useless because the Philips combo drive is not supported. I naively assumed that Apple factory-installed hardware would be supported out of the box.... According to my reading of the posts here, is has been at least 5 months since the first posts on support for the Philips combo drive appeared here. I don't understand the delay. I know that I'm not the only irritated customer! Dantz is losing my respect; please tell us what is up with support for this Apple-supplied mechanism! hughc
Yeah, it's been brought up a couple of times : For instance here , here and here The chorus is growing louder.... any ETA on this Dantz? If it's not going to work out, and we've got to make alternative backup plans, we'd at least like a definitive word... of course, that's OK for those of us who already owned Retrospect, not first time buyers....
