PGP Encrypted Virtual Disk and Retrospect

I have the latest version of PGP Personal Edition (http://www.pgp.com/) which encrypts a virtual disk onto the computer. I keep my personal files on the encrypted portion of the hard drive. In order to access the virtual area I need to mount the disk using a password.

I have this area backed up as "F" drive on Retrospect Backup. I also have my Backup-sets in a folder on the "F" drive.

I was wondering that if my computer went belly up and I had to restore everything from the disaster recovery CD whether or not this would work because I would need to reinstall the PGP virtual hard drive in order to restore the "F" drive programs. Also, would I be able to restore given that the backup set is in the encrypted "F" drive area?

If any of this doesn't make sense, please give feedback and I'll fill you in.

Also, would like to know that if I kept an older "recycle backup" in a safe place outside of the house and my house burned down and took with it my most recent "recycle backup" whether or not I could restore everything from the older "recycle backup version".

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Bert
