gderreck
Hello The following files do not backup: File "C:\Documents and Settings\Graham Derreck\Local Settings\Temp\Perflib_Perfdata_e0.dat": can't read, error -1020 (sharing violation) File "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Downloader\qmgr1.dat": can't read security information, error -1020 (sharing violation) Are they critical? Some prefetch files don't backup either, but they are transient. Not sure about the above. Best Regards, Graham
AmyJ
In reply to: File "C:\Documents and Settings\Graham Derreck\Local Settings\Temp\Perflib_Perfdata_e0.dat": can't read, error -1020 (sharing violation) Anything in a "Temp" directory can be ignored. In reply to: File "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Downloader\qmgr1.dat": can't read security information, error -1020 (sharing violation) Error -1020 (sharing violation) occurs when a file cannot be accessed because it is in use. Another application or the operating system may have the files open preventing Retrospect from accessing them. Exit the application that owns the busy file. It is possible this error was reported on insignificant files and you can just ignore it. can't read security information, error -1020 (sharing violation) indicates that the NTFS permissions could not be read on this particular file. The file was backed up, the NTFS permissions were not. This is typically nothing to worry about.
