aleigh
I've been patiently waiting (since Sept 2001) for Retro support of my Quicksilver's SuperDrive (PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-103). Your compatability page last read "CD-RW media not supported at this time." HUH?? Ok? then what does it support? Can I back up to DVD's? If so, must the entire backup exist on one disk? Can I back up to DVD while booted off of OSX? (10.1.5) Can I back up to DVD while booted off of 9.22? What sort of time am I looking at (G4- 867--You can assume I'd do my best to fill each disk) Has anyone with this combo (or similar) actually backed up to a DVD SuperDrive via Retro sucessfully? Anxiously awaiting a reply. Xandra.
AmyJ
In reply to: CD-RW media not supported at this time This drive has been supported for quite some time. A restriction is that CD-RW media is not supported, as it did not reliably perform in backup and restore operations. All other media types supported by the drive are supported by Retrospect (CD-R, DVD-R, DVD-RW). If you're backing up a dual boot system, you should do all your backups in OS X. Any backup session that does not fill a disc will continue on the same disc in subsequent operations - and then span to additional discs as they become full.
