deezee Posted November 15, 2002 Report Share Posted November 15, 2002 My LACIE SCSI DDS3 Tape Drive is backing up 15gb files overnight. It is attached to a G4/400 and a Hitachi CM811 Monitor with built-in power-saving feature, which it engages after a while and goes into sleep mode. The problem is I am then unable to bring the screen back on and have to restart thus ending the backup halfway through. I have tried turning the monitor off and back on again, inserting a auto-play CD and also inserting a Zip disk but to no avail. This seems to happen when doing huge capacity backups.
